Mike becomes the 13th Iowa State University alum to join the ATF. In addition, he also becomes the fifth member of Beyer Nation to join - an ISU dorm contingent from the mid- to late-1990s.

Mike still lives in Ames, Iowa, where he designs heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems for buildings. Apparently, he couldn't hack it in the Liberal Studies curriculum, so he had to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Which is nothing to be ashamed of.

When he's not engineering or answering trivia questions, Mike can often be found golfing, playing softball, working on his house, or beating the Welk brothers in a wide variety of sports and games.
