Dan McFate came to the ATF from the corporate world, and also short stints as a used car salesman and varsity basketball player. Which are both pretty dope. He was a natural addition to the league, both because he spends much of his time drinking with Brandon, and because he lives with Ben. Actually, he doesn't live with Ben. In fact, he no longer even lives near Ben. But they do have "relations".

Following his first three seasons, Dan's strengths and weaknesses became readily apparent. While he can definitely hold down the fort on recent history and pop culture, his strength undoubtedly lies in sports questions. Which is maybe why he received only about a half dozen. If the Czar weren't out to get him, Dan could've ridden a wave of Hector Villanueva and Calvin Schiraldi questions all the way into the ATF record books. But alas, it wasn't meant to be.
